Spring Charity Tournament

Kickball for the community!
All profits from this year’s tournament will go towards supporting the following causes:
Lauren and Phil Mitchell were a part of our league for many years. Phil was one of our original board members that helped to shape the league into what iti is today. They have three beautiful children Olive, Milo and Birdie. In December of 2021 their 10year old daughter Olive was diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome) which is a type of blood cancer that can often turn into AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). Her medical team recommended Olive have a bone marrow transplant. Since then she has undergone chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant along with other surgeries and procedures. Part of the money raised from our Spring charity events will go to the Mitchell family to help with medical costs.

Ryan Curnutt played in the league for nine years, the last four of those with Muddy Waters. He personified everything KVKL stands for- community, generosity and most importantly, FUN! Ryan was always making teammates and opponents laugh from right field, and often DJ’ed the after parties at Replay. He brought life and joy with him everywhere he went. Ryan was in a car accident on his way home from work and passed away February 21, 2022. As a tissue and organ donor with Midwest Transplant, he was able to help and change the lives of 20 people.
Part of the money raised from our Spring charity events will go towards honoring Ryan’s memory through donations in his and his pitbull Macey’s names.
