I would like to thank everyone for their part in our 2022 KVKL season. This year was big. From celebrating our 20th year, to setting fundraising records, I’m lucky to have been able to be a part of it.
Our main charity was Haus of McCoy. We were able to meet our goal of donating $10,000. Our Charity Committee worked hard putting on the Disc Golf Tournament, yard sale/plant auction, the 7th inning stretch challenges, along with the Annual Charity Auction to help raise donations.
Another big change has been switching to a new scheduling system, a great start in improving game quality and increasing fun! The board plans to iterate on this standard and continue to make improvements.
As we enter our 20th SEASON as a league, we are making some changes to the board membership.
Ben Hutnick and I will both be stepping down this season having put in our time (8 and 5 years respectively). I’m excited for the members joining the board with their fresh excitement and new ideas.
As I step away from commissioner and the board, I want to say thank you to everyone that helped me through the process and made the league a joy to manage. I’m excited to go back to being player and spectator (GO D-HOLES!) but will still be around to help as needed.
We, the KVKL community, are lucky to have Lauren Lagaly taking on the role of Commissioner for the 2023 season. Entering our 20th SEASON, we are planning and working hard to make it a season to remember.
Thank you to my wonderful KVKL community,
Ethan Fincham
