Every year the KVKL likes to give back as much as we can to the town we love. We are so thankful to have a large group of players and captains that work all year long to make sure we have something to give back.
As you all know, this year we reached our long-time goal of providing a scoreboard for Hobbs Park.
Now that the Scoreboard Project is complete, we have some money left over and we reached out to the league for charitable organizations to which to donate. Two very worthy local charities that hold a place in the heart of some KVKL players jumped out at us and we have selected these two organizations as recipients of our charitable donations fund this year: tiny-K Early Intervention, and the Collegiate Veterans Association – KU
Please join us in honoring our veterans and supporting our educators this Sunday during the 7th inning stretch at Game of the Week, where we will be presenting each organization with a check for $1,000.
