Hello KVKL Nation,
I’ve had such a great year serving as your Commissioner! Of course nothing would be possible without the combined hard work and passion from the entire board.
We’ve had some changes in the board with Jacki Becker, Scott Stewart and Matt Pryor stepping down after years of dedicated service. We have inducted Jana Curtiss, Staci Ahlvers and Alex Fox to the board. I’m excited to have such great people as a part of the team.
We have also selected a new Commissioner for the 2017 season. I’m excited to let you know that Ben Wright will be taking over as Commissioner!
I would also like to share the important dates for the 2017 season:
April 1st: Returning team roster, $250 league fees and 2 signed captains’ waivers due (as many player waivers as possible encouraged). Erin Adams is heading up registration this year. You can contact her directly with any inquiries at
***$30 fee for team name changes (which includes a new placard for Hobbs scoreboard)***
April 1st: New team roster due
April 15th: New team (if admitted into league) $250 league fees and 2 signed captains’ waivers due (as many player waivers as possible encouraged)
April 25th, Tuesday: Captains’ Meeting 6pm in Big 6 Room in basement of The Eldridge Hotel. We encourage both captain and co-captain to attend, but you are required to send at least one representative from your team if neither captain can attend.
April 30th, Sunday: Ref-a-palooza 1pm until Dark (attendance only required for new teams for this fun event to learn more about the rules, reffing, and a great way to dust off those cleats or do some last minute recruiting/team finding). Location TBD
May 7th, Sunday: Spring Charity Tournament – Starting at 12pm or 1pm (more details to come)
May 21st, Sunday: Start of season
May 28th, Sunday: No games due to Memorial Day Weekend
June 4th, Sunday: Regular Season games resume (week 2 of regular season)
2016 Charity
We raised the following:
$5500 – Penn House
$500 – Standing Rock
$500 – Headquarters
We adopted a family at Willow
We fed 30 families through Just Food for the holidays
