Just for fun, here is my take of the strength of each pool:
1) John Brown
2) Lucy Hobbs Taylor
3) Langston Hughes Pool (definitely the deepest and most entertaining pool)
4) James Naismith
5) Carrie A. Nation
6) William S. Burroughs
And here is my list of “battle tested and ready” teams, separated by ranking. This is not where I think teams “rank” but is rather a fairly rough take on how well teams are prepared for rank play based solely on the quality of their first-half schedule opponents and their performance in those games. I did give teams a bump for winning close games (ie PP v YS and LL v R), as this is experience that can vastly improve a team’s poise and confidence. No statistics went into these rankings and they are entirely and purposefully subjective.
