Lawrence Connection

Kaw Valley Kickball is a non-profit community organization. We bring diverse people and groups together with the goal of having fun while raising money for local non-profits.

Season Schedule and Legal Lineups

The regular season is every Sunday from May 11 – July 20 (including Memorial Day weekend, but excluding July 4th weekend). Regular season games are at 5:00pm or 7:00pm. You might have one regular season game at 9:00pm. The tournament is every Sunday from July 27-August 10, first games typically at 5:00pm. Season and tournament dates may change depending on rainouts.

Additionally, KVKL has specific lineup rules outlined here. Please take some time to review all the rules. Pay special attention to section C. Illegal lineups will result in a forfeit. KVKL does not take forfeits lightly.

Team Responsibilities

Along with playing kickball, every team has a set of responsibilities that contribute to the success of the league.

  • Each team must provide two capable referees each week. See rule B.2.

  • Captains (or other representatives of the team) are required to attend the captain’s meeting at 4:30pm on April 26th.

  • New teams are highly encouraged to attend the ref clinic at 5:00pm on April 26th.

  • At least once a season, each team is given a Game of the Week (9:00 pm game) duty such as cleaning up after the game, running the Hobbs scoreboard, etc.

  • Keeping your dugout clean after weekly games.

  • All teams and players must follow the Code of Conduct.
