Kunt Punts vs. Free State Growlers @ Lyons West, 5 p.m.
The Kunt Punts look to finally get a win streak under its belt after decimating AsteroidHEAD, 23-9. The Free State Growlers couldn’t stave off Murda, Inc. from tearing through the 6-seeds, and it could have some trouble against the Cork & Barrel crew.

Team | Rec. / Runs / R. Allow / Diff. | Rank Avg.
Growl | 3-6 / 43 / 72 / -29 | 22
Punts | 3-6 / 70 / 66 / 4 | 18

Hotel Lobby vs. Sacred Sword @ Lyons West, 7 p.m.
Hotel Lobby has finally recovered from its nearly month-long hangover by beating the Rats, 10-3, most of which came in the 9th inning. Sacred Sword couldn’t stop the Rockets’ last-ditch attempt and lost by 2 in Game of the Week. With the return of Hotel Lobby’s first and third basemen, it’s back to form.

Team | Rec. / Runs / R. Allow / Diff. | Rank Avg.
Hotel | 6-3 / 85 / 49 / 36 | 13
Sword | 5-4 / 111 / 67 / 44 | 12

Jazzhaus vs. Los Matadores @ Lyons East, 5 p.m.
An injury-laden Los Matadores team couldn’t stop Das Boot’s fierce kicking at the short field last week, and the Jazzhaus couldn’t contain a classic Chalmersiz comeback after being up 5-1 for the start of the game. Both teams need a win to raise their playoff seeding, although Jazzhaus arguably needs it more—a win would put both teams at 5-5.

Team | Rec. / Runs / R. Allow / Diff. | Rank Avg.
Jazz | 4-5 / 91 / 105 / -15 | 19
Los M | 5-4 / 114 / 65 / 49 | 10.33

Hurtz Donut D-Holes vs. Channel 6 @ Lyons East, 7 p.m.
The Hurtz Donut D-Holes have scraped by the past two weeks with 4-3 victories over the Bad News Bagels and Red Lyon. Fast base-running and one costly error was the game-changer. In Pool Play Rank 2, Channel 6 has only scored 3 runs/game, and has allowed 21 total, a complete 180 from the first seven games (it averaged 13.71 runs/game and allowed only 3.71). Channel 6 needs to win to prove it’s as good as everyone says.

Team | Rec. / Runs / R. Allow / Diff. | Rank Avg.
Chan. | 5-4 / 102 / 47 / 55 | 8.6
Hurtz | 7-2 / 128 / 44 / 84 | 4.34

Screamers vs. Up to Eleven Late Fees @ Holcolm Right, 5 p.m.
Neither team has a win in Pool Play, although the Screamers had a close game against Basil Ride, losing 7-6. The Up to Eleven Late Fees made an honorable comeback against the Goats, but fell short, 15-12. Neither team has had a particularly successful season—the Screamers have scored significantly less runs, but it also has allowed much less.

Team | Rec. / Runs / R. Allow / Diff. | Rank Avg.
Scream | 2-7 / 39 / 89 / -50 | 24.34
L Fees | 3-6 / 82 / 135 / -53 | 24

Bulletproof Tigers vs. Merchants of Death @ Holcolm Right, 7 p.m.
After being shutout in week 3, the Bulletproof Tigers did a little shutting-out of its own against Harper Valley PTA. Now that it has filled its roster, the Tigers are looking to avenge some of its earlier losses and are currently on a three-game win streak. Merchants of Death continues its struggles, losing 13-7 to another team that struggled to fill its roster, Where’s My Pitches? If Merchants expects to win, it needs to go in with a game plan and stick to it.

Team | Rec. / Runs / R. Allow / Diff. | Rank Avg.
Tigers | 4-5 / 59 / 114 / -55 | 25.34
Merch | 2-7 / 49 / 109 / -60 | 26

Red Lyon vs. Bad News Bagels @ Holcolm Left, 5 p.m.
The Bad News Bagels picked up another big win against Channel 6, 9-3. The Red Lyon suffered a hard-fought heartbreaker, losing by 1 to the Hurtz Donut D-Holes. If this Bagels team stays together, it’s gonna be one helluva squad. The Red Lyon, meanwhile, made a rookie mistake by throwing at one of the fastest base-runners in the league at 3rd base, which allowed him to score and essentially win the game. The Lyon needs to maintain its composure if it wants to win.

Team | Rec. / Runs / R. Allow / Diff. | Rank Avg.
Bagels | 7-2 / 116 / 41 / 75 | 5
Lyon | 7-2 / 113 / 51 / 62 | 8

Rockets vs. Rats @ Holcolm Left, 7 p.m.
The Rockets are a win away from sweeping the 3s. The Rats need a win and for Hotel Lobby to beat Sacred Sword for a three-way tie at 2-1. Defensively, both teams have been good: the Rats are allowing 6.89 runs/game; the Rockets, 7.89. Offensively, however, neither team is putting up many runs. The Rats are scoring 9.67 runs/game; the Rockets, 10.78.

Team | Rec. / Runs / R. Allow / Diff. | Rank Avg.
Rats | 6-3 / 87 / 62 / 25 | 14.67
Rocks /| 6-3 / 97 / 71 / 26 | 14.67

Goats vs. Basil Ride @ Holcolm Red, 5 p.m.
The winner sweeps the 5s in Pool Play. The Goats’ defense is significantly better than  Basil Ride’s, at 13th best over 21st. Offensively, Basil Ride is in a three-way tie for 14th; the Goats are after, though, at 17th. Basil Ride’s core experience will benefit it more, as the Goats struggled throughout the season to remain consistent.

Team | Rec. / Runs / R. Allow / Diff. | Rank Avg.
Basil | 6-3 / 91 / 101 / -10 | 18
Goats | 5-4 / 89 / 64 / 25 | 14.67

AsteroidHEAD vs. Murda, Inc. @ Holcolm Red, 7 p.m.
AsteroidHEAD was smashed by the Kunt Punts, 23-9, and with only 2 wins all season, people have stopped asking which AsteroidHEAD team is going to show up. After Murda, Inc.’s big win in Game of the Week, it doesn’t look to slow down as it finishes up in Pool Play.

Team | Rec. / Runs / R. Allow / Diff. | Rank Avg.
HEAD | 2-7 / 69 / 103 / -34 | 22
Murda | 5-4 / 66 / 72 / -6 | 19.34

Ghosts vs. Taco Tuesday @ Holcolm Gold, 5 p.m.
After losing its first seven games, the Ghosts have won its last two, averaging 28 runs apiece. Being a top ten offensive team with a losing record is no small feat, but its defense has much to be desired, allowing on average 17.1 runs/game this season (that’s 154 total). Taco Tuesday isn’t in a much different boat, only it doesn’t score nearly as much. It’s scored 31 runs in its two victories, and only allowed 6.

Team | Rec. / Runs / R. Allow / Diff. | Rank Avg.
Ghosts | 111 / 154 / -43 | 20.67
Tacos | 65 / 137 -72 | 26.67

Brewballers vs. Space Pussy @ Holcolm Gold 7 p.m.
The game we’ve all been waiting for with fervid anticipation: the last remaining winless teams in a battle for not-last place. Space Pussy have proven all season long that most fun doesn’t always win. On the other hand, the Brewballers have shown the league that least fun also doesn’t win games. These two teams have collectively allowed a staggering 405 runs, while only amassing a total 69.

Sixty-nine, dudes!

Sixty-nine, dudes!

Team | Rec. / Runs / R. Allow / Diff. | Rank Avg.
Brew | 0-9 / 36 / 178 / -142 | 30.67
Pussy | 0-9 / 33 / 227 / -194 | 32

Happy Shirt vs. Love Garden Squids @ Holcolm Blue, 5 p.m.
Happy Shirt looks to remain undefeated in the regular season, again, for the nth time in x years, while Love Garden tries to get a win in the top-seeded pool and stop a two-game losing streak. That won’t be easy, though, after Happy Shirt rallied from a 10-1 deficit against reigning champions, Terrebonne Po’ Boys. Similarly, Love Garden couldn’t hold on to a 2-1 lead in the 6th inning against Wildman Attack Force, ultimately losing 7-2.

Team | Rec. / Runs / R. Allow / Diff. | Rank Avg.
Happy | 9-0 / 138 / 38 / 100 | 2
Squids | 7-2 / 101 / 35 / 66 | 6.67

Where’s My Pitches? vs. Harper Valley PTA @ Holcolm Blue 7 p.m.
Where’s My Pitches? is finally getting it somewhat together, having won two of its last three and scoring 13 in both wins. It still struggles defensively, although not nearly as much as it did to start the season. Harper Valley PTA, since its lone win against the Ghosts on that fateful rainy day, hasn’t scored more than 6 runs in a game—in fact, it hasn’t scored more than 6 runs all season. It’s also allowing 15.78 runs/game, but that’s not much worse than Where’s My Pitches?’ 14.78.

Team | Rec. / Runs / R. Allow / Diff. | Rank Avg.
PTA | 1-8 / 34 / 142 / -108 | 30
Pitch | 2-7 / 57 / 133 / -76 | 27

Terrebonne Po’ Boys vs. Wildman Attack Force @ 7 p.m. Hobbs
The Terrebonne Po’ Boys allowed Happy Shirt to go on a 15-2 run in five error-fueled innings. Wildman Attack Force locked-down defensively and gave Love Garden the D after going down 2-1 in the 3rd inning. The Squids reached third base once after that, in the 9th inning. Terrebonne probably won’t let another game like last week’s happen again, and when Wildman has its lineup clicking, it’s tough to stop.

Team | Rec. / Runs / R. Allow / Diff. | Rank Avg.
Boys | 8-1 / 142 / 56 / 86 | 5
Wild | 8-1 / 135 / 26 / 99 | 2.34

Chalmersiz vs. Das Boot @ Hobbs, 9 p.m., Game of the Week
Das Boot narrowly escaped Los Matadores last week, 8-7, and Chalmersiz were down 5-1 early on against Jazzhaus before stringing together 12 unanswered runs. The last time these two teams met was in 2011, also in Game of the Week. Das Boot lost—in fact, the Boot has never won under the lights. Generally known for being the most prolific scoring team in the league, Das Boot is 10th offensively in the league. Conversely, the Chalmersiz, known for its stalwart defense, is ranked 7th. Neither stats are bad, by any means, but Chalmersiz has allowed 8.5 runs/game in its four losses. Defense still isn’t its problems—it’s scoring. Das Boot has scored 32 more runs this season than Chalmersiz, and only allowed 3 more.

Team | Rec. / Runs / R. Allow / Diff. | Rank Avg.
Boot | 7-2 / 123 / 52 / 71 | 7
Mario | 5-4 / 92 / 49 / 42 | 11
